Hi Linda, I'm very interested in speaking with you about your husbands problem. I'm having terrible pain in my right hip. I'm 23 and had Perthes disease when I was 10. About 6 months ago I started having pain in my outer hip. The doctors have tried injections and antinflammatory pills and nothing has helped. They're considering a hip replacement for me because I can hardly walk and my MRI shows the cartilidge in my joint is worn away. I did have a bonescan done but it didn't show bursitis, how did they diagnose your husband? And what was the pain like before the hip replacement? I'm not sure if this pain is referred pain from the joint or bursitis and I'm scared to have a hip replacement and it not work. Please email me, I hope we can help each other, Julie5632@aol.com
