Yes, I was really tense and that could have been why it hurt - maybe if I could relax it would not be so painful -thanks for letting me know that it was not painful for you. I just started taking elmiron last week - my doctor tried to talk me out of it - he says it only has a 9% effectiveness rate - but that is not what I have read. And even so, I could be in that 9%. If the elmiron does not work I will try the bladder installation treatments, so I am glad to know that it should not hurt if I am not tense. So far I have had no adverse side effects from elmiron - I am sorry to hear that you did - my doctor did warn me about the side effects.
