Dear Jamie, I am 33 and had an illiofemoral DVT about three months ago. It was caused by birth control pills and a genetic predisposition for clotting. When I asked my hematologist about an eventual pregnancy, he said that my course of treatment is heparin daily etc., so I think that you are on the right course. May I suggest that you see a Doctor that specializes in blood? I had extensive genetic tests run to see what the root of the problem is. This way you atleast know something.
