I have been dealing with AS for 15 years and two artificial hips. Six surgeries makes it hard to get the exercise. I take both 4000 mg of Azulfidine and up to 400 mg of Orudis. On a bad day I still hurt, bad. Methatrexate (sp) caused a reaction, couldn't take. For the last 5 years I've been trying to control my environment. I try and avoid low pressure systems, ( northwest rain, Yuma low, tropical beaches ) maritime air, ( San Diego fog )cold, ( winter or desert or mountain ) and of coarse rain. I end up in the mountains of Mexico. 4,000 to 8,000 feet and south till it's warm. I watch the barometer. Below a pressure of 30.00/10.16 I start to hurt and feel it in my eyes. In the summers I come back to Cental Washington. No more Puget Sound.
