Hello!! I am only 23 and was dx a year ago with dermatomyositis. It was a very hard battle, I was in the hospital almost every day for eight months. My advise..STAY OUT OF THE SUN!!!!! What happened to me was that I wasn't able to move and the bed was my life. When I was able to get out of bed and visit with my friends I think I over did it, but not being able to move for eight months is hell.
