My daughter has taken acutane and it did the job for a while but it did come back so she took it again. It once again helped. It has come back some but not to bad. She was maybe 15 when she took it the first time and then 17 the next time she is now 18 and it is much better with the use of the drug. I would have done anything to help her because I am scared from acne. So I think it helped and some times it takes more than once to get it done.
