I have a 7 yr. old with ADHD. I've been fighting the school since Kindergarten. Write a formal letter of request, to the Principal of the school, requesting a testing and evaluation for your child. Explain your concerns as to why you think the testing is necessary. Request a Behavior Accessment be performed also. Give them a reasonable time to respond to your written request. If the do not respond within say 10-15 days, write to your local school board, attention: Special Education Supervisor .. stating that you have made these requets and that they have gone unanswered.. Send ALL correspondence CERTIFIED MAIL. Don't give up.. there is help. It takes a lot of patience. Don't feel like you have a 'bad' child or that you're a 'bad' parent. Let me know if this helps.
