i work for an optometrist and deal with Low vision on a regular basis. My father has RP and was diagnosed at the age of 55. He has 5 children and none of us are DX with Rp. The females are carriers which means that if our spouses are carriers our children will have RP. my father works with other patients with low vision and is a very confident incouraging man. I also work with legally blind individuals and understand what they are going through. I hope that one day there will be a cure and all we can do is pray!
